We Help AT&T Design to Build

Innovative design, efficient permitting, and streamlined processes ensure customer promises are kept.

SITUATION

Over the past several years, Talman Consultants has helped AT&T and their construction partners in multiple markets remain competitive and deliver superior service to customers.

CHALLENGE

From project management to engineering design to permit acquisition, AT&T needed an engineering partner who could leverage deep knowledge and best practices to ensure a broad range of projects are designed to build.

SOLUTION

First

Small Cells in Tacoma, WA

300

5G Installations and Upgrades

350

CRAN Installations of 4G Equipment

Whether it’s bringing small cells to new markets or faster speed to renown concert venues, we built consensus with all stakeholders to anticipate conflicts, mitigate disruptions, and capture efficiencies for maximum return on investment.

Multimarket Small Cell Installations

From various owners and considerations to the scale of projects, there’s nothing “small” about small cell installations. Our templates for MasTec include not just options but why they could work. We’re not only looking at what poles could work in an area from a strict location standpoint, but whether those poles would ultimately be approved. We anticipate what could go wrong from minor hiccups to major challenges.

Northerly Island Concert Venue

Talman worked closely with ATT and Northerly Island to design a fiber route and site-specific equipment for this unique concert venue off Chicago’s lakefront. An upcoming highly publicized concert schedule created an extremely quick project timeline. Our team coordinated CX and City of Chicago and provided Photo Simulations to help accelerate and secure stakeholder consensus.

First Small Cells in Tacoma, WA

Talman partnered with AT&T stakeholders and City of Tacoma to secure the market’s first small cell permits. We leveraged our best practices to align a broad range of stakeholders, coordinate numerous local power companies, and navigate a newly developed municipal code. Talman conducted frontend research and developed complete permit packages including: Civil Plans, Traffic Control, Site Licensing Agreements, Public Notifications, Electrical Load Studies, and Historic District Requirements.

AT&T Direct Multimarket BAU with ACAS

When larger telecom companies like AT&T work through a variety of vendors across several markets, they need to make sure the end product lives up to their own high standards and upholds their reputation. Talman worked to support BAU services including building connections, fiber back bone, and relocations in Chicago, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

Chicago and Suburbs 5-year Plan

We worked to execute a multi-phased plan that included nearly 300 5G installations and upgrades and 350 CRAN installations of 4G equipment.
