We Help Streamline Processes and Add Value Along the Way

Leveraging our experience to meet the needs of expanding small cell network.

SITUATION

Talman worked with Verizon Wireless and Verizon Business directly and through their construction partners Ledcor and John Burns. As part of this broader work scope, Talman was charged with vetting sites to determine which ones would be valid for Verizon’s small cell network expansion project.

CHALLENGE

Navigating pole sites is already tricky business in a city, whether because of existing use or a city restriction. There’s rarely a one-size-fits-all solution. And standards constantly evolve. But Talman’s custom and continuous RAMP™ planning process leverages experience, collaboration, and creativity to produce a solution that fits.

Our Work into Internal Project Management Systems

Armed with our RAMP™ approach, Talman leveraged knowledge gained through previous work and existing strong relationships with contractors to provide pricing and identify potential power and fiber sources. With selections and city approvals in hand, Verizon relied on Talman to verify if sites were indeed designed to build.

Once the pole candidates were approved, we took charge of the fieldwork and vetting each site. Past experience helped us identify sites that would not be valid due to existing field conditions. Existing relationships and prior expertise allowed us to streamline the vetting process, including integrating our work into internal project management systems.

With RAMP™, we helped get it done from Concept to Construction!
